Lea Community Primary School

Lea Community Primary School were looking for an organization to sponsor their school sports team, in order for them to purchase a new kit and tracksuits to enable them to represent the school with pride.

Unfortunately, the kit that was available to them at the time was quite old, depleted and not suitable for use, due to its condition through wear and tear over the years. This made the children feel a little despondent when they turned up to sports events like the Schools Olympics that is run by Preston City Council, and they saw other schools in nice kit and tracksuits (as they did recently).

The school had not had a dedicated sports team for a while, but now they are building for the future and the introduction of the school football team and netball team is already having a positive effect on the children’s attitude toward sport, fair play and team work.

The school football team is now part of a local schools cluster league and are looking to enter future cup competitions whenever possible.

The above situation was brought to the attention of our MD Christopher Haigh via a Newletter that was sent home in his sons book bag who currently attends the school – in year 1. As Mr Haigh understands the importance of the local community and feels a great attachment to the school and the Fun Club that operates from there he felt that he just had to “pitch” in and committed the Company to 100% of the monies required to help boost the moral of the schools sports teams.
